The organization who created the FundUP campaign has the responsibility to issue it. FundUP is only a conduit linking parties and does not issue certificates. If you do a donation, you have the option for the receiving party to receive your information in order to provide the required documentation.

FundUp is a crowdfunding portal based in South Africa that allows individuals and organisations to raise funds for their creative projects, ventures, or causes. It works on the principle of collective contributions, where backers can support projects they are interested in.

Simply register an account. Follow the regestration prosess.
After registration you can “Create a campaign”.
Use This link will take you through the process. 

At sign up you will be required to enter an email address. Then when creating the campaign you will need the following info:

  • Title
  • Image
  • YouTube video (optional)
  • Description
  • Summary
  • Tags
  • Campaign Goal
  • Supporting Documents (optional)

After creating your campaign you will need to also add a beneficiary with your/their bank account details. 

Your campaign will go through a few checks to ensure the information is legit, not misleading and appropriate. During this process you may be contacted. After approval you will receive an email with further instructions. 

A transaction and facilitation fee applies as follows:

When receiving or withdrawing funds, a transaction fee applies.

On receiving we charge a fixed 6% facilitation fee.

You can withdraw funds as often or seldom as you like. Each withdrawal is charged separately. Minimum withdrawal is R100 minus the withdrawal fee. 

While FundUp is primarily based in South Africa, international users are also welcome to participate and back projects on the platform. 

FundUp supports a wide range of projects, including creative endeavors, business startups, charitable causes, art projects, technology innovations, community initiatives, and more. 

To create a project, you first need to register for an account on FundUp. Once registered, you can log in and click on “Create your FundUP.” Follow the instructions to provide project details, funding goals. 

It’s Free to start a Campaign. The platform charges a percentage of the funds raised as a service fee. Please refer to FundUp’s terms and conditions or Pricing Page for more details. 

Yes, you can make changes to your project details after it’s been launched. However, all changes requires approval from FundUp’s support team.

FundUp has guidelines to ensure that projects comply with their terms and conditions. Projects that violate these guidelines or involve illegal activities may be rejected.

FundUp has restrictions on certain project categories or content, such as those involving illegal activities, hate speech, or harmful products. Check FundUp’s guidelines for more details.
